Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to Bethlehem Center’s everyday operations. Through the many volunteers that give of their time and talent each month, we are making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate in our community. Those under 14 years of age can volunteer but they must have an adult volunteer with them. If you have any questions about our volunteer opportunities or ways to become involved at the Bethlehem Center, please feel free to call us at (559) 734-1572.

Get started by downloading our volunteer application. Our volunteer coordinator will use the information provided to schedule you with regular volunteering opportunities that meet your schedule, availability and interests.

Regular Volunteer Opportunities

You must be scheduled before you can come to participate in any of our volunteer activities. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, you can complete the individual Volunteer Application, located above. We have ongoing volunteer opportunities in the kitchen, thrift store, warehouse, sorting, and intake office. You must be at least 18 years old to apply to be a regular volunteer.

Group Volunteer Application

Families, service groups and church organizations can volunteer too! All volunteers ages 18 and older must complete the volunteer application form.  One of our cooks will always be on hand to guide your group through meal service. There is security at all times and our cooks are certified Safe Environment trained.  Don’t forget that we need extra volunteers for the special events we have planned throughout the year, especially at the holidays.

Host a Donation Drive

You can support the Bethlehem Center by hosting a donation drive to collect needed items at your office, church, community center, or anywhere you choose. Once you have collected the items, simply contact the Bethlehem Center for a pickup. Need donation barrels? Call us (559) 734-1572.

Service Organizations & Clubs

We are always looking for an opportunity to share our story and recruit helping hands and hearts. Does your service club or organization allow non-profit groups to make presentations at your regular meetings? Does it organize food drives and other benefit events for local non-profits? Perhaps your organization is looking for opportunities to volunteer as a group? If so, we would love to discuss a partnership between your organization and the Bethlehem Center.
