SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR NOVEMBER 2019

  • Began Garden of vegetables

  • Began a new system with Central California Food Bank to track Food Pantry clients within the county – bar code system that provides demographic information and a cross-check with Visalia Emergency Aid to prevent double dipping

  • Received several donated kitchen items by exploiting social media outlets-ultimately generates cost savings

  • Implemented Amazon “Wish List” an on-line donation request for specific items, initial response has been positive

  • Implemented new phone system-to follow-up with any missed messages outside of office hours

  • Implemented to the telephone system in conjunction with the Parish Office

  • Installed 13 new cameras removed from Urban Revival, we now have 36 cameras on-site

  • Installed barb wire fencing on the East wall

  • Installed electric gate at the entrance to the Bethlehem Center

  • Implemented software upgrade to Microsoft 365 and will implement Window 10 in December

  • Bethlehem Center Presentations-Kiwanis – Tulare

  • Bethlehem Center Presentations – Lions Club

  • Bethlehem Center Presentations – Raiders Booster Club

  • Bethlehem Center Presentation – Hispanic Rotary Club

  • Bethlehem Center Presentation – Rotary Club – Patrick Lozano

  • Received Comfort Now grant-$1K

  • City of Visalia Grant applied-Requested 6K for Holiday events/Coats for Kids.

  • New walk-in freezer/fridge unit placed in warehouse; installation not yet completed

  • Received 400 turkeys from local donors, families and individuals-Catholic Charities, McDonalds, Breakfast Lions Club, Ruiz Foods, United States Army, and Butler Manufacturing Co. among others.

  • Provided a Thanksgiving Meal to 95 guests from our dining hall.

  • Provided 300 families turkey/chicken thanksgiving meals

  • Set Up Angel Trees – Parish Office and KDDH HR

  • Served 5456 meals; provide 3300 pieces of clothing; 1,746 commodity boxes provide

  • Security – the number of incidents are down but the severity of incidents are up
