On Friday, Oct. 12, American Ambulance of Visalia went above and beyond the call of duty, delivering a truck full of food to the Bethlehem Center in Visalia.
Representatives of the Visalia-based company made good on their pledge to donate an entire hog to the center. After purchasing the hog at the Tulare County Fair livestock auction, the company donated all the meat from the 240-pound hog to the center.
The meat was processed by Tulare Meat Locker and will provide protein for many, many meals at the Bethlehem Center's no-cost dining hall, where our chefs and volunteers work tirelessly to provide tasty, hot breakfasts and lunches every day.
Thank you to American Ambulance for your abundant donation and to Tulare Meat Locker for helping us process the generous gift.
We are excited to announce that American Ambulance has already pledged to donate another hog from the 2019 Tulare County Fair.
The Bethlehem Center is only possible because of ongoing support from our community partners like American Ambulance.
